Two Tribes - 13 Mar '05 [Sunday]
Gawd...i'm still a bit deaf & aching from Two Tribes. It wasn't as good as I expected it to be. Too trancey for my liking. I like it hard! Man...i wish they'd played those songs u get at PHD & Bubble, not like Vuong's type of music...lmao. He had a good time, that's for sure...all his fave DJs were on..and as for me, i only had the heart & soul for Scott Alert trax. Damn it, if i'd gone there earlier I would've caught the whole 2 hours of his dj-ing. *Argh* I waited for Yuki out in the cold on Federation Square at approximately 8 o'clock as she had told me...and i waited & waited for about an hour, and yet she never appeared. So I msg-ed Vuong at about 8:30p.m. just in case Yuki doesn't turn up [which she didn't, btw]. When I finally gave up, i took a tram down to the Vodafone Arena. I walked up some ramps and saw these uber cool stores selling glowstix, flashlights, t-shirts, caps, and even massage! O_o! Hhahaha...i thought that was pretti neat. I went to line up when i got there, and was in the arena in about 5 mins...heheh...express lane, coz it was only me and i cut in the line :P And the people there were REALLI nice too^^
Hrmm...so when i got in, I called Vuong up and he told me he was in the line yeh. So...I waited for him at the top of the stairs while checking out ravers with funky outfits (and hot guys too :P) But yeh, while I was waiting, I met MD..ah, he was nice to wait for Vuong with me but he got in later on while i was STILL waiting...=\
Once me & Vuong got in, we kinda waited for Yuki for about 5 - 10 mins. Man, this Yuki is making us miss out on the good music. ~.~ Damn it! Bah..anywayz, decided not to wait after a while. Then bumped into Lil Jess who told us she saw Yuki awhile ago, and then i asked for her numba. Heh...so we walked this long way to the Vodafone Arena, until when we finally reach there our anticipation was at the highest. We went into main room - Godskitchen, as Scott Alert was putting on some mad trax...one of which i knew so well "Bring The Pain [Marcel Woods Remix]" by Walt. I realli like Scott Alert's type of music coz it realli gets me going. But too bad I'd alreadi missed about an hr or more of his gig coz of the wait. =
So I bumped into Yuki inside the mainroom...and we just hung around together. And somehow...Yuki drifted off with one of Vuong's friend...to eat or drink or something, but yeh... O_o So me & Vuong were making fun of ppl dancing, and complaining abt the muzzas and like learning different dance steps and stuff. It was fun, i guess. So all good. Then MD comes along and intros [Gothic] Greg to us. Hahahaha...man, Greg is like soooooooooo pro at everything, from raving, glowstix to rnb danicing...man, that guy is talented. Hahahah and I made him teach me how to use the glowstix, but i'm sooooooo n00b, it's not funni :( He hung around us for awhile, and then had this little Battle of the Glowstix wif some other dudes. I reckon it was an alright nite, but could've been betta if they played the type of songs i liked. I would've rocked it hard!!!!!! Man...mebbe next time...i'm sure it'll just get better & better...so i'm still gonna keep my anticipation for the next event.
It was a fun nite, all-in-all...Vuong was realli nice to walk me to the entrance so i could grab a cab home. Outside, I met Albie, Ryo & Davidz....but seeing Albie, man i dunno...he was such a snob...fk that...if it's coz of Stefz, i dun wanna kno. Man...Ryo & Davidz, on the other hand were so friendly to me...how odd yeh? Since I've been closer to Albie b4 I met the others. *shrugz* Took me some time to hail a cab, especially since many other ravers were like vultures grabbing at each cab that went by. It was nuts! I even called to book a cab, but the fkn operators din even ask for my name. Geez...
Lucki for me, walking that extra distance did do me good...caught a cab home and gave the taxi driver some spare change =} But *argh* relaised later on that i'd left my keycard in my room :S So had to go to the measure of calling up my sis to help me open the doors. [sorry Loz!!!!!!] But yeh, all good...jumped into bed afta removing my makeup & brushing my teeth, and had that 4 hrs of sleep I so needed to go to uni later today.
