Tracing it home...by Lynn Pan
Just got back from the Library. Closes at 6pm on Sundays. Went to Starbucks for a caramel hot choc this afternoon while reading my notes, was considering whether i should stay on til it closes tonight, but decided not to cz the music they were playing kinda made me feel sleepy. So i booted off to the State Library and did some more reading for tomorrow morning's [9am. eek.] exam, and couldn't realli concentrate. There was this bum or some sort who reeked of ciggarettes sitting next to me, and it smelt REAL bad >_> I was playing around with the search computers and realised that the Library owned a copy of my Aunt's [my dad's sister] book. I jumped up and went on a book adventure searching for that book. Interestingly, I never kne the Library was that HUGE inside...got into the Redmond Barry Reading Room and I was shocked in awe. The rows & rows of books they had...boundless literature...if only i lived in a Library, how awesome it is for me to read all the books I'd always wanted to read. It's a pity u can't borrow books at the State Library =\ Who's ever heard of a library that doesn't allow u to borrow books?!?! >_> Well anywayz, the book "Tracing It Home" apparently, was some sort of a self-journey biography...about the death of my grandmother, followed by some pieces of my grandfather [tho i never realli knew him coz he passed away when i was born]. It was a rather interesting read, but I'm sure I will find a day to realli sit down and have a good read about my ancestral roots. Thanks to my Aunt for putting it all on text. =]
